CARENCRO ~ Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 31, 2020 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Elise Brasseaux, age 90, the former Elise Kidder, who passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, surrounded by her family.

Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro. The Rev. Mark Ledoux, pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

Mrs. Brasseaux was a native of Arnaudville and a resident of Carencro having been a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. She was employed as a cook helper with Evangeline Downs Racetrack in Carencro. Elise was a compassionate, carefree woman who embodied the words love and grace. She embraced every challenge with a smile and her answer for everything was always prayer. There is no doubt that her faith in Jesus was the source of her strength. She had the ability to make you feel like everything was going to be okay no matter what. She loved people, her family meant the world to her and there was not a person she met that she did not remember and pray for. She will be tremendously missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include one son, Danny F. Brasseaux of Carencro; one daughter, Dena B. Domingue and her husband, Johnny, of Carencro; eight grandchildren, Damian Brasseaux, Nick Brasseaux, Danielle Domec and her husband, Caleb, Krystal Domingue, Kayla Domingue, Jessica Domingue, Travis Brasseaux, and Joni D.
