He was born June 22, 1925 in Batesville to the late Willie and Pearlie Henderson. He worked at Able Sheet Metal and Gregg Funeral Home for several years. He enjoyed riding bicycles, watching western on TV and dancing. He was of the Assembly of God faith.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Daryl Henderson; four brothers and five sisters.
He is survived by his children, Kathy Jones (Stan) of Jonesboro, Lynn Henderson of Williford, Melvin Henderson (Mary) of Jonesboro, Mary McGaugh of Section, Alabama and James Henderson (Melinda) of Walnut Ridge; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2020 at the Monette Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
