Marilyn was born in Harrisburg, PA as the only child of James and Betty Zimmerman ~ Nanny & Pop-pop. Lynn was raised in Philadelphia and attended the school of Nursing at Roxborough Memorial Hospital, graduating in 1955. Her nursing career lasted over 50 years, spent in several hospitals, director of nursing and home health care. It was her life's passion to help others.

Married to William McGuire Martin for 17 years with whom she had three children; William Nathaniel Martin 3 (Joyce), James Edward Martin (Reann) and Amy Martin; Lynn found her second love with Dr. James Alexander, of Ocean Springs, for 15 years. After Hurricane Katrina took her home, She moved to Gulf Breeze to be closer to her family. Lynn was a wonderful, kind, funny Mother and friend who had a keen sense of humor and loved to laugh. She will be deeply missed by all, especially her Grandchildren, Katie, Jonathan, Jack, Remy, Drew and Starfish....But most of all, her beloved dog and faithful companion LULU. The most spoiled dog on earth.
