Florence Mary Pride, 95, passed away peacefully Thursday October 29, 2020, in Bloomington Illinois surrounded by her family.
She was born December 12, 1924, In Springfield, the daughter of George Cartwright and Florence Binney. Mary married Bobby Pride on November 21, 1942 and they were together until he passed away December, 27, 2010.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Henrietta and Vera and brothers, Ed, Joe and George.
Surviving are her daughters, Cindy Pride Gibson and Sandy Pride (significant other Joe Brink); two grandchildren, Max Pride Gibson and Rhiannon Pride; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was the founder and co-owner of Mother Goose Day Care Center in Springfield, Illinois for 46 years. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and she and her husband participated in many craft shows and festivals. She was a lifetime member of the Springfield Ceramics Club and had artist teach class at her home. They also co owned the Silver Ram Gift Shop.
A memorial gathering will be held at the gravesite at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield, Il on Friday, November 6, at 11:00 am.
