He grew up in Green Bay, WI until he attended college at St. Meinrad Archabbey in Indiana and then in WI. On June 28, 1969, he married Gloria Jean Hubbard in Wausaukee, WI. They raised three sons and one daughter.
John worked as a dedicated route salesman to support his family of six. His love of sports led him to support his favorite teams Oklahoma State University, Milwaukee Brewers, and the Green Bay Packers. John is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Ruth and two sons Steve and Tim Mastalir.
He is survived by his wife Gloria, and two children Amanda Mastalir Cooper with husband Mark, and Matt Mastalir with wife Donna. Also, he will be remembered by his grandchildren: Madison, Mason, Luke, Maranda, and Adelaide.
There will be an opportunity for viewing John at 10:30 AM, Monday, November 2, 2020 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 800 N.W. 5th St. in Moore, OK. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM, at St. Andrew, with interment following at Moore Cemetery, Moore, OK.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to: St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 800 NW 5th Street, Moore, OK 73160. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, OK.
