Theodore Louis Stegmann, age 57 years, passed away March 19 at Mercy Hospital following a long illness. He was born at Kawkawlin, Michigan on March 10, 1915. He was a lifetime resident of this area. He was married to Anna Steinke on Sept. 12, 1936, at the Beaver Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife Anna, one son Frederick Stegmann of Bay City. Two grandchildren, Michele and Kris Stegmann of Bay City, one brother, Carl Stegmann of Edenville, Michigan, 5 sisters: Mrs. Alex (Leona) Hartley of Birch Run, Mich., Mrs. Eugene (Beatrice) La Bean of Mt. Morris, Michigan, Mrs. Charles (Lucille) Racette of Pinconning, Michigan, Mrs. Clarence (Elsie) Hanover and Mrs. Kermit (Bertha) Trapp both of Bay City. He was a member of the St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church and The Crump Fox Club of which he was a Past President. Mrs. Stegmann was a foreman with the Wellman Bronze for many years.
Funeral services will be held Wed. at 2:00 p.m. from the St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church. Rev. Howard Henke will officiate with burial at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Stegmann will be at the Penzien Funeral Home Until 11:00 a.m. Wed. and then removed to the church to lie in state. Memorial Cards for the St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church and the American Cancer Fund will be available at the Funeral Home.
