Services for Jeff Clayton of Tupelo, retired employee of Tupelo Floral Co., who also at one time operated a grocery store in Tupelo, were held July 27, 1964 in the Funeral Chapel of W.E. Pegues with burial in Tupelo Memorial Park Cemetery. He was 79. Mr. Clayton died at 8:30 a.m. July 25 after suffering a heart attack at his home. He was born in Tilden in Itawamba County, but had resided in the Flowerdale area in Tupelo for 54 years.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary Sewell Clayton; a daughter, Mrs. M. C. Tomasetti of Greenwich, Conn.; four sons, Audrey L. Clayton of Robertsville, Ala., Wyble E. Clayton of Arlington, Va., Jeff R. Clayton of Mobile and Edwin Clayton of Dallas; two brothers, Ezell Clayton of Tilden and the Rev. Victor Clayton of Fulton.
