Joshua is the son of Sarah Fagan & John Everett, he served in the Revolutionary War. He was born in Tyrrell Co., North Carolina & moved to Georgia in 1785 with his family to Effingham Co., Georgia. They move to a bounty grant land from his father's Revolutionary War services. He married Jane Carter in Bulloch Co., Georgia on 7 October 1797 (Book 1 & 1 A p. 7). After Joshua's death, his widow moved to Thomas, Co., Georgia to live with her children & died there. His wife's tombstone in the Everitt Cemetery, Thomas Co., Georgia.
