Tandy Beth Holman, 68, of Lakeview, passed away on Monday morning at her home.
A woman that was truly one of a kind, Tandy was born on January 2, 1952 in Detroit, after high school she started working for the United States Postal Service delivering mail in Chicago. Tandy was a voracious reader, could play almost any musical instrument, loved animals, enjoyed singing; and even made an album once. She was the life of the party and enjoyed "party favors", she was a history buff, enjoyed traveling, hunting for morel mushrooms in her secret spots, she would never miss an episode of Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune, and loved doing crossword puzzles. Her favorite movie was the Wizard of Oz, and she was an avid fan of Star Trek. Of course, you can't mention Tandy without mentioning her love of the Chicago Cubs! She married the love of her life; Marvin Holman in 1981 and together enjoyed 34 years of marriage until his death in 2015. Tandy will leave a lasting memory on anyone she met and will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving Tandy is her children; Rick Lugo, Megan Lugo, Cathy Bedura, Johnny (Sandy) Holman, Michael (Cheryl) Holman, Shannon (Casey) Mazur, Melanie Javens, Lisa (Peter) Caravette, her brothers; Dean Abbott and Dale Abbott, 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a very close family friend; Eric Miller, along with many other extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; Hobart and June (Albaugh) Abbott and her beloved husband; Marvin Holman.
