STANLEY D. POTTER, HAMMOND, IN

Stanley D. Potter, age 80, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Elizabeth G. Potter; children: Suzanne (Robert) Roquet, Karen (Stephen) Moss, Stanley D. (Geri) Potter III and Daniel Potter; grandfather of 14, and great grandfather of 10. He is also survived by his two sisters: Jeannie and Shirley. Preceded in death by his parents: Stanley and Lucille Potter; two brothers: Richard and Donald; and sisters: Lucille, Dorothy, Clara and Betty.

Stanley was born in Limestone, NY in 1933 and moved to Indiana in 1965. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and retired from Calumet Machine and Welding after 30 years of service. Stanley had a passion for woodworking, especially making toy cars and trucks. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave, Schererville, IN. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, in Stanley's memory.
