Carl E Anson, Sr, 82 of Altmar passed away Saturday October 31, 2020 at Seneca Hill Manor, Oswego.
Carl was born October 11, 1938 in Altmar, NY to Lewis and Laura (Olin) Anson. He graduated from APW High School in 1956. After graduation he trained to be an electrician through a correspondence course. He married Mary Woolson July 20, 1957 in Richland. Carl worked for Niagara Mohawk for several years and then for Disney World in Orlando Fl. He owned and operated a motel in Mayville, NY from 1988-92, with his wife Mary and returned to Altmar in 1992 to raise beef on their 80-acre farm. Carl was a Oswego County Legislator for 12 years, served on the Albion Town Board and also as Tax Collector for a time.
Surviving are his wife Mary, 3 children, Carl (Traci) Anson, Jr, Sally Jo Register and Kim Anson, 7 grandchildren, 17 great Grandchildren, two sisters Lindy Armstrong and Patty Ellison. He was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers, Clifford and Merle a sister Vera and a great granddaughter Chloe.
A Graveside Service will be held 11am Saturday November 7, 2020 at Riverside Cemetery in Altmar.
