Mary Dell Brunson was born September 22, 1937, in Lone Oak, Texas, to Ward Warren and Ida Pearl Adair and passed from this life on November 4, 2020.
She worked for Upshur County for many years in the District Attorney’s office, District Judge’s office and the tax office. She made many dear friends while working for Upshur County.
On March 1, 1957, she married Raymond Otis Brunson in Houston, Texas. They made their home and raised their family in Diana, Texas, and she was a member of First Baptist Church in Diana.
Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Karen Brunson of Gilmer; daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Jerry Spencer of Tyler; four grandchildren, Stacy Betts and husband, Josh, Jared Brunson and wife, Becky, Rachel Crabtree and husband, Todd, Michelle Brunson and partner, Josh Thompson; six great-grandchildren, Faith Crabtree, Uriah Crabtree, Kelly Brunson, Alice Thompson, Barrett Brunson and Presley Betts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Brunson; her son, Steve Brunson and a brother, Billy Warren Adair.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 7, 2020, at Reed Cemetery in Diana, Texas. A register will be available at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana to sign.
