Word has been received of the death in Paris, on Wednesday, of Dr. Clarence Satterlee. The doctor and his wife left their home near New Hamburgh early in Oct., and sailed for Europe, intending to pass the winter in the south of France. The doctor's complaint was Bright's
disease, complicated with heart trouble and while those best acquainted .with him might have feared the worst, such sad news was certainly not expected so soon after his departure. The Doctor led quite an active life, and will be very much missed in many places. He was a member of the Grinnell Library Association, and also did a great deal of good work as superintendent of Zion Episcopal Sunday School at Wappingers Falls. What disposal will be made of the remains has not yet been announced.
