Funeral services for Heather Dianne Beckett, age 19 years, of Lake Providence, were held Thursday, January 28, 1999 at 2 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Joe Martina officiating.
Burial followed in the Lake Providence City Cemetery in Lake Providence under the direction of Cox Funeral Homes of 200 East Noble Street, Oak Grove.
Heather Dianne Beckett died Saturday, January 23, 1999 at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Heather died after a lengthy battle with Diamond Blackfan Syndrome, a rare blood disease.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Edward D. Dinger Sr. and paternal grandfather, S. A. Beckett.
Survivors include her mother, Elizabeth Beckett, of Lake Providence; her father, Norman Beckett, of Hughes Springs, TX.; brother, Sgt. E5Jason E. Beckett, U.S. Army Baumholder, Germany; maternal grandmother, Marie H. Dinger, of Monroe; and paternal grandmother, Maxine M. Beckett, of Hughes Springs, TX.
