Mrs. Francis P. Bruty, 72, of 415 South Avenue D died this morning, April 15 1967 in the Washington County Hospital. She had been failing in health for the past year, an dhad been seriously ill for one week.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church. Prayer will be offered at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Jones Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery.
Katheryn Louise Eagle was born January 17 1895 in Washington County, a daughter of Henry and Theresa Schnoebelen Eagle. She was reared here. She was married July 30 1917 to Francis P. Bruty and they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in July.
She was a member of St. James Catholic church and St. James Circle. She had taught school until her marriage.
Surviving are her husband; and these children: Mrs. John (Cecilia Jane) Gabriel of Columbus Junction, Mrs. Henry (Geraldine Priebe of Davenport, Wilbur of Franklin Park, Ill., Mrs. Robert Theresa Scranton, Mrs. Richard (Mary) Brown, and Charles of Washington, Henry Bruty Sr. of Kansas City, and Mrs. Kermit (Patricia) Farrier of Ottumwa.
