Mary Catherine (Williams) Sparks was the daughter of Samuel and Catherine (Barndollar) Williams. She was the wife of Wilson Wilmer Sparks. They were married Rainsburg, Pennsylvania, February 7, 1866.

SPARKS.--Mary Catherine Sparks, born on June 23, 1843, at Ashcom, died Aug. 17, 1932, at her home in Rainsburg, at the age of 89 years, 1 month and 23 days, death being due to a fall from the porch of her home. She was a daughter of Samuel and Catherine (Barndollar) Williams and was married to Wilson W. Sparks, deceased. Surviving are two children, Stella, of Rainsburg, and Ross, of Altoona, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Hughes, Philadelphia. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Funeral services will take place at her home tomorrow afternoon, Aug. 20, at 2 o'clock, with Rev. J. R. Stoudt and Rev Elmer Ellsworth Harter officiating. Interment in Everett Cemetery.
