Lydia Mae Eberline, daughter of John and Mary Smith, was born on May 14, 1895, in Arlington, S.D., and passed from this life at her home in Smith Center on Friday morning, Feb. 9, 1973. She had reached the age of 77 years and 9 months.

Mrs. Eberline had been a resident of Smith County 43 years, living in Kensington and Smith Center.

On November 12, 1919, she was united in marriage to Fred Eberline in Smith Center. To this union four children were born. Her husband Fred preceded her in death July 30, 1965.

Two years ago she was converted and received Christian baptism. She was a member of the Nazarene Sunday School in Smith Center.

Those left to mourn her death are her children: Three sons, Richard K. Eberline and wife Mynette, Madison, Wisconsin; Raymond E. Eberline and wife Lola, Cozad, Neb.; Leon E. Eberline who resided with his mother; also a daughter Betty Vaughn and husband Roy of Hutchinson.

She is survived by a brother, Milo Smith, Norwalk, Calif., and a sister, Mary Stanley, Yucaipa, Calif. She also leaves 16 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins, and a host of friends.

Memorial services were Monday, Feb. 12, from Simmons Chapel in Smith Center with the Rev. Francis Runyon officiating. Donna Ayres and Laura Burgess sang the hymns and were accompanied by Frances Gibson.

The casket bearers were Ott Muhsmann, Junior Muhsmann, Gary GArdner, Dick Cochran, Jerry Lee, and Arden Clark. Interment was in Germantown Cemetery, Kensington
