Mrs. Haggerty, age 56 years, passed away June 3, 1979, at the Beaumont Hospital in Birmingham.
She was born in Bay City on June 24, 1922, and resided here until 1956 when she moved to New Orleans, Louisiana moving to Birmingham 3 years ago. She was the former June Elizabeth Weiss. She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Haggerty whom she married in 1950. She also leaves 2 sons, Michael J. Haggerty of New Orleans and Thomas R. Haggerty of Warren, 2 brothers, Edward Weiss and Alfred Weiss both of Bay City, and 3 sisters, Mrs. Elsie Balash of Grayling, Mrs. Betty Trinklein of Reese, and Mrs. Eunice Taylor of Fling. Mrs. Haggerty was a former employee of the Michigan Bell Telephone Co. in Bay City. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in New Orleans. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11: 00 a.m. at the Penzien Funeral Home, Inc. The Rev. Ronald F. Fuller will officiate with interment at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Penzien Funeral Home Inc. after 7 p.m. on Monday.
