She was the daughter of William Canning and Margaret Ann Gray. She married John Cyprian Stevens at Lincoln, Nebraska, on June 15, 1905.

Mrs. John C. Stevens

Nancy C. Stevens, wife of John C. Stevens, 434 N. E. Royal court, died at her home Thursday morning.

She was born September 8, 1877, in Monmouth, Ill., and came to Portland in 1906.

Besides the widower, she leaves a son, Robert J. Stevens, Portland, and three daughters: Mrs. Jane C. Hackman, Mrs. Audiss E. Smith, both of Portland, and Mrs. Donald B. Hay, San Francisco.

The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a. m. in Finley’s Morninglight chapel, with private commitment at Portland Memorial.
