She was a lifetime resident of Princeton and retired as a dispatcher for Public Service Indiana. Previously, she had been a secretary for Mayor Frank Dasch and also Potter & Brumfield. She helped start the Princeton Girls Softball League and served as a Junior Achievement advisor for several years. She was very involved in her children’s activities.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Bennie Coomer of Princeton, whom she married on June 28, 1953; son, Tim Coomer (Mary) of Princeton; daughters, Benita Murry (Dan) of Henderson and Stephanie Turpin (David) of Princeton; grandchildren, Logan Adams (Laura), Cory Adams (Haley), Alli Turpin (Andrew Carnahan), Rylee Turpin (Nate Berg) and Rachel Murry (Amanda); great grandchildren, Ben, Everly, Reagan, Avery, Gatlin (to arrive February 2021), Easton and Parker; sister, Vivian Skelton of Terre Haute; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Dosch; and brother, Ralph “Bud” Creek.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Brad Keenan. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the funeral home. Seating will be limited to allow for social distancing and masks will be required in order to comply with COVID-19 regulations.
