W.H. HAAG - CURWENSVILLE - W.H. (Harry) Haag, 72, a resident of Bloom Township,
died in his home at 7:10 p.m. yesterday, Dec 15. Born in Bloom Township March
16, 1894, a son of the late Tobias and Catherine (Bickle) Haag, he was a member
of the Chestnut Grove Methodist Church and the Methodist Men of the church. His
wife, the former Velma Starr, survives as do the following children: William E.,
Los Alamos, N.M.; Arthur G. and Lawrence A., Hiland, Ind.; Kenneth E.,
Clearfield, and Mrs. Gerald (Mabel) Miller, Tidiout, Pa. Eight grandchildren
survive along with the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Nancy Pierce and
Mrs. Luther (Malista) Bietz, Curwensville; and Francis and John Haag, Olanta,
R.D. In addition to his parents, four brothers and one sister preceded him in
death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Chestnut Grove
Methodist Church with the Rev. David E. Kemberling and Mrs. Douglas Hine-Butler
officiating. Interment will be in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call
in the Russell H. Lininger Funeral Home at Curwensville after 7 p.m. tomorrow
and until noon Monday, and in the church until the hour of services.
