Mrs. W. S. Tennant, 87 years of age and a resident of Ringgold county 61 years, passed peacefully away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Trimble, in north Mount Ayr Tuesday, June 17, at 11:30 p.m., after a critical illness of less than three weeks' duration. The death of Mrs. Tennant marks the passing of one of the best loved women of the community. She is survived by two sons and two daughters - Mrs. John Kirkpatrick of Glendale, Calif., who came Friday to be at the bedside; George A. Tennant of Mount Ayr; Mrs. Frank Trimble of Mount Ayr, and Clifford C. Tennant of Des Moines, who visted his mother during her illness and who came yesterday to Mount Ayr. An extended obituary is not available for publication in this issue of the Record-News.
Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Methodist church and will be conducted by the pastor, Rev. E. S. Menoher.
