She was born May 7, 1903, in Tallula, the daughter of Kenton P. and Julia Irwin Epperly. She married Floyd Belton ; he died in 1978. A daughter, Dorothy Lee Taft, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Belton had been a resident of Springfield since 1950. A homemaker, she was employed by the Illinois Ammunition Plant and also worked as a clerk for five years at the state Department of Vital Records. She was a member of Springfield Southern Baptist Church.
Survivors: a daughter, Shirley Jean Barbee of Brooksville, Fla.; two sons, Cecil K. Belton of Springfield and Floyd Belton Jr. of Davenport, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; a nephew; and three cousins.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Staab Funeral Home, the Rev. Michael Keppler officiating. Burial: Farmers Point Cemetery, Tallula.
