Wife of the late Robert C. Devoy; mother of Mrs. Helen Dunston of Redding, Mrs. Frances Carlson and Leonard Devoy, both of Eureka; grandmother of David Carlson, Nancy and Sandra Devoy, both of Eureka, John Carlson of St. Louis, Mo., Robert Dunston of Mountain View, Roy Dunston of Modesto, James Dunston of Sacramento, Thomas and Lois Dunston both of Redding; aunt of Mrs. Peggy Schott of San Diego, Charles Schmeder of Walnut Creek, Alan Fleckenstein of of San Francisco, and Donald Fleckenstein of Lancaster, Pa. She is survived by five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Devoy was a native of Ferndale, and had lived all her life in this area. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, and a member of the Young Ladies Institute of Eureka. Age 87.
Friends are invited to attend recitation of the Rosary at Sanders Funeral Home Thursday, Feb. 7, at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the mortuary chapel Friday at 9:30 a.m., thence to St. Bernard's Catholic Church for Mass of the Resurrection commencing at 10 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Alred Hebert, Angelo Intersimone, Jerry Ayers, Ray Carroll, Clarence Dahl, and Wilfred Brown.

Agnes was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William McDonough of the Centerville road and was well known and highly esteemed here, where she has lived all of her life. She and Robert were married in a very quiet but pretty service at the Catholic rectory in Ferndale on April 23, 1910. Her sister, Tessie, was her maid of honor and her brother, Walter, acted as best man. The groom was a popular young man of the county seat and, up to a short time ago, he held a responsible position with the Pacific Lumber Co. at Scotia.
