Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Roxanne was born May 28, 1967 in Lafayette. She was a family woman, a mother to everyone, and a great friend to anyone she would meet. After you met Roxanne, she was a friend forever. She always put others before herself. Her compassionate and loving personality will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Young; four sons, John Hawthorne (Jashae Brown), Johnathan Hawthorne, Joshua Hawthorne and Jacob Hawthorne (Taylor Macon); daughter, Jennifer Simon; mother, Brenda Abraham; three sisters, Renee Simon (Patrick), Marina Abraham and Latoya Abraham; two brothers, Freddie Abraham Jr. (Audrey) and Lamont Abraham Sr. (Claudene); friend, Fredricka Charles; her aunt, Zina Thomas; and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Freddy J. Abraham, Sr.; sister, Michelle Abraham; paternal grandmother, Marina Benjamin; and maternal grandmother, Pauline James.
