Obituary: J. W. HARWOOD AFTER LONG ILLNESS - J. W. Harwood, a pioneer and well know Springfield resident, succumbed Monday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Warren D. Myers, 225 Stanton avenue, aged 77 years. Mr. Harwood had been in poor health for some time and sank rapidly toward the end. He formerly resided at Hillsboro, Ohio, where he was in business, but upon retiring there moved to this city. He made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Matilda Myers for some time. The decedent besides Mrs. Myers, leaves five sons, J. L. Harwood and Fred Harwood of Springfield; Herbert Harwood of the home city, Hillsboro; Rolland Harwood of Knoxville, Tenn., and Archie Harwood of Natchez, Miss.
