Relative of notable. He was the fifth son of the 13th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorn. He was the uncle of Elizabeth Angela Marguerite, who married H.R.H. The Duke of York who later became King George VI. She later became Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. He is deposited with his wife Alice, who died in 1953 aged 85, and with other members of his family.
