Daniel L. Allgaier, 76, of 9155 Shope, Independence, died Sunday at the Independence Hospital. He was born in Atherton in Jackson County and had lived in Independence 32 years. Mr. Allgaier was a retired production worker for Remington Arms Co., Inc. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Hazel B. Allgaier of the home; two sons, Daniel G. Allgaier, 9737 E. 27th, Independence, and Robert W. Allgaier, Lawson, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. Eva Jean Morgan, 9153 Shope, Independence; three sisters, Mrs. Amanda Buckman, 4316 Holly; Mrs. Ada West, Buckner in Jackson County, and Mrs. Lela Freeman, Tipton, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church; burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. The rosary will be said at 8 p.m. tonight at the Sheil Chapel, 6606 Independence, where friends may call after 6 p.m. tonight. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
