Jonathan Wooster Dead
Jonathan Wooster died, Monday at the rige old age of 92 years. Mrs. Wooster was an old resident of Springwater and came to Oregon in 1877. Death took place after a few weeks' illness, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wm. Smith. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Springwater church, Rev. C. T. McPherson preaching and burial at the Springwater cemetery. Mr. Wooster leaves five children, Mrs. Smith of Springwater, a son at Arleta, another in Maine, a daughter in Missouri and one in Idaho.
Mr. Wooster was a member of the Maine legislature when James O. Blaine was a member of that body, and was a close friend of that distinguished statesman.
