I am not certain where Catherine is interred, though she is listed as buried at the location in Ohio as indicated. I am the gr-gr grandson of Rev. Dr. J. E. Alexander, her husband. I believe that she was likely re-interred, as her parents and husband were buried in the Ohio location, which I explored in 2009, though it has always appeared that she was first buried in Los Angeles, where she died, in 1910.Mrs. Catherine M Alexander…a life of exceptional length, happiness and usefulness came to its earthly close when Mrs. Alexander, widow of Rev. John E. Alexander, D.D., died, aged 85, at her home in Los Angeles, Calif., Apr. 22, 1910.
"Of Scotch-Irish blood and sprung from patriotic ancestry, she was intensely American and justly regarded the right to think for oneself one of the highest prerogatives of American citizenship.
"Mrs. Alexander, whose maiden name was Catherine M. Potter, was born and reared in Steubenville, Ohio. She married Dr. Alexander Dec. 28, 1856 and lived with him in loving, useful companionship for forty-four years, until his death, April 4, 1902. Her surviving children are Mrs. Kate Wardell, Daniel P. and Susan, of Los Angeles, Calif., and William Alexander, of Berkley, Calif. From: LA Times. Note: Burial was next to her husband, Rev. Dr. JE Alexander.
