He was survived by two brothers, E. E. Brooks and Haywood Brooks of Pine Apple, Alabama; and four sisters, Mrs Martha Brooks of Houston, Mrs Fischer Edge of Pensacola, Florida, Mrs John Kerley and Miss Clara Melton of Pine Apple, Alabama.
He was married at the time of his death, but his obituary does not mention his wife.
