Denver Virgil Jones Sr. Obituary

Services were held in Martinez, California. Saturday July 2, at 3:30pm in the Martinez Funeral home for Denver V. Jones, former Fort Cobb resident.

Mr. Jones passed away 0n June 29th. 1960. He had been in ill health for several years.

Denver was born Oct. 17, 1914, in Scotland, Arkansas and came to Caddo Co. in 1924. He was married to Faye Stone at Fort Cobb in 1933. They farmed northeast of Fort Cobb for several years before they moved to California, where he was employed in the shipyards at Richmond during World War II and until he became ill.

Survivors are his wife Faye and one son Denver Jr. of the home, two daughters, Mrs. Naomi Karr and Mrs. Nadean Harmon all of Sacramento, California, his father Mr. J. A. Jones, Anadarko; two sisters, Mrs. John Conklin of Anadarko and Mrs. Irene Wall of Marlow; six brothers, Ted of Anadarko, Clyde of Chickasha, Troy of Houston, Texas, Everett of Monte Vista, California and Damon and Eugene of Fort Cobb; and four grandchildren of Sacramento, California.
