William R. (Bill) Kelley, 78, died November 17, 2020. The son of Lester L. and Grace Shoemaker Kelley, Bill grew up in Cedar Bayou and graduated from Robert E. Lee of Baytown, TX in 1960.

Bill was a USAF veteran, serving 4 years primarily in Okinawa, Japan. Upon completion of his military service he graduated from Texas A & M, including Post graduate work in computer science. He worked as a systems analyst in such locations as Shell Oil, City of Dallas and EDS, retiring from Texas Instruments in 1998. Bill’s hobbies included woodworking and gardening. He also highly valued education.

Survivors include his son Dennis Kelley of Grapevine, TX and granddaughter Lyla Kelley of Grapevine, TX; step-son Eddie Wilbanks and wife Jill of Rio Vista, TX; grandchildren, Chase and Caroline; sisters, Nancy Kennedy of Baytown and Peggy Hearn and husband Norman of Troupe, TX and their son Brian of Houston, TX. Cousins Monica, Al and Amy Allnutt and families. As well as numerous other family members.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 10am in the Chapel of Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Rd. Baytown, TX. 77521 with visitation an hour prior. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery, 3010 Ferry Rd. Baytown, TX. 77520.
