Born in Lawrence on Nov. 24, 1911, Cecile was the daughter of Joseph Achilles and Clara (Langevin) Archambault. Cecile was educated at St. Anne's Grammar School in Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd in 1954 and her son, Roland in 1983.
A woman of great faith, Cecile was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and her family was very dear to her. She is survived by six children, Robert Cookson of Midwest City, Okla. and his wife, Margaret O'Connor Cookson, Carol A. Cookson of Salisbury, Joyce M. Barg and her husband, Ronald of Lawrence and Seabrook, N.H., Nancy J. Cookson Santoro and her husband, Ignatius of Rochester, N.H., Anne C. McCarthy and her husband, Daniel of Rochester, N.H., and Colleen J. Mitchell and her husband, Mark of Merrimac. She also leaves 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Cecile was predeceased by six siblings.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to the celebration of the Mass of the Resurrection in St. Augustine's Chapel on Tower Hill in Lawrence on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 11 a.m. There will be no calling hours.
