Mr. Youngman died Thursday at a Wellsville nursing home.
He was born April 5, 1909, at Ottawa and spent all his life in the Ottawa area.
Mr. Youngman retired in 1958 from Santa Fe Railway after many years in railroad track maintenance. He was a sergeant in the 997th Field Artillery Battalion during World War II.
Mr. Youngman was a member of North Baptist Church and a former member of Warren Black Post 60 of the American Legion, both in Ottawa.
He married Margaret Marsh in 1938 at Ottawa. They later were divorced.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Marie Morgan of Ottawa and Evelyn Louise Fisher of Lawrence; three sons, Robert S. of Dodge City, Leonard L. of Louisville, Colo., and Staff Sgt. Donald C. with the Marine Corps in Hawaii; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
