Judith D. Ackerman

Judith Darlene Ackerman, 58, of Vienna passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, in Las Vegas, Nev., while on a business trip.

She was born Aug. 29, 1947, in Wood County, a daughter of the late James and Ersaline Cottrill Johnston. Judith worked for over 36 years at Public Debt, where she was currently branch manager. She attended the Landmark Baptist Church in Parkersburg and enjoyed camping and crafts. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are her husband, Roger Ackerman, whom she married Dec. 23, 1964; one daughter and her husband, Brenda and Michael Thompson of Mineral Wells; one son and his wife, Kevin and Mindy Ackerman of Vienna; her father and mother-in-law, George and Vera Ackerman of Parkersburg; three granddaughters, Heather Marie Thompson, Hollie Anne Ackerman and Haley Lynn Ackerman; one grandson, Hunter Wayne Ackerman; and one sister, Jacklyn Hall.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green Street, Parkersburg, with Pastor Michael Lamb officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
