He was born at Richview Dec. 28, 1867, son of W. C. and Jane Masters. He married Miss Ethel Kiley in 1897.
He was a resident of Heyworth for 50 years and for 20 years was a substation agent for the Illinois Traction system, retiring a year ago. .
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mary. Chaudoin, Waynesvile; and three grandchildren.
He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, the I. O. O. F. and the Richview Baptist church.
