Beverly Sue Watkinson, of Billings, MO, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, November 09, 2020 in the Republic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 29 days. She was born June 11, 1934 in Springfield, MO the only child of Leonard and Frankie (Saltz) Bean.
Beverly married William James Watkinson on April 4, 1958. This union was blessed with two children, Renne and Brent. They lived and raised their children in Billings and were faithful members of Billings Christian Church. They were married 58 years before his passing in February 2017.
Beverly was very talented in a variety of ways. She was a fabulous knitter, piano player and square dancer. She had belonged to several dance clubs. Beverly also enjoyed writing and had even written a book. But above all else she was a Mom. She was very active in all her children’s activities, from being a member of the school PTA, assisting with Cub Scouts to Dance and Twirling lessons. If her children were involved in it, so was Beverly. She also shared her talents with several local nursing homes, working as an Activities Director in the recreation department.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, William.
Beverly is survived by two children, Renne Myers and husband Kenneth and William Brent Watkinson and wife Jodi; two grandchildren, Ashley Dawn Tennis and Kenneth Andrew Printy; two great grandchildren, Landry Renne Tennis and Kyler Dean Tennis; as well as other extended family and countless friends. Beverly will be greatly missed by all whose lives had been touched by hers. Know that we were there holding your hand.
A Graveside service is scheduled for Friday, November 13, 2020 at 10 a.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery, Billings, MO.
