Marjorie Louise Guntack, was born on January 11, 1926 in Liverpool, England, and died in El Paso on Sunday, September 30th. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Stanley, her parents, Robert and Myfanwy Marks and infant brother, Robin of Liverpool. She is survived by her son, Mark of Austin, Texas, daughter Susan, (husband Ben) Tice, grandson, Capt. Justin A. Tice, U.S. Army, and granddaughter, Kimberly C. Tice, all of El Paso. She is also survived by her brother, Jeffrey and his wife, Muriel, of Lancashire, England, and her brother's family in England, Canada and Saudi Arabia. Marjorie served as a part-time Parish Secretary at Christ Episcopal Church for four years from 1966-70. She then worked with the City of El Paso from 1971-1982 commencing at the Department of Planning and later as Secretary to the Director of the El Paso Civic Center. She retired in the position of Administrative Assistant at the El Paso Arts Resources Department. Upon her retirement, she volunteered with the American Red Cross at William Beaumont AMC for eight years. Marjorie was a member of St. Clement's Church, and a retired member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals. She loved her family and friends. She enjoyed reading, travel, the theater, music, especially her beloved "Beatles" and gardening. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Clement's Church, Campbell at Montana on Thursday, October 4th at 10:30 a.m. with The Rev. William Francis officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the Humane Society of El Paso, Inc., or a charity of your choice.
