Ethel M. O'Brien, age 100, a resident of the Hamilton Care Center in Two Rivers, died Wednesday evening, January 14, 2015 at the Care Center.
Ethel was born July 20, 1914 in Antigo, WI, daughter of the late Oscar A. and Henrietta (Delaney) Kneizel. She attended the public school systems in Antigo. On November 1, 1953 Ethel married Francis O'Brien in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death in 1961. Ethel was employed by local businesses in Milwaukee most of her life including A. O. Smith Company. She was a longtime member of North Shore Presbyterian Church in Shorewood, WI.
Survivors include a step daughter and step son-in-law: Patricia and David Harris, Sommerville, SC; a step granddaughter: Toby Corbett, Sommerville, SC; two step great grandchildren: Patricia and Peter, one sister: Alice Ellis, Denver, CO; dear friends: Dr. Robert and Kathleen Myers; special niece: Joann Kuhar, Denver, CO; other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, relatives and friends also survive.
Ethel was also preceded in death by an infant sister, one sister and two brothers and a brother-in law: Fred Ellis.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc and Ethel will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers at a later date
