PEKIN ~ Jean Maree Crawford, 70, of 5569 Trail Side Drive, Port Orange, Florida, died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2004 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was formerly of Pekin.
She was born July 28, 1933 in Elm Grove Township, Tazewell County to Arthur Conrad and Teressa Jane Young Fleming.
Surviving are one daughter, Janie S. (Michael) Wrhel of Pekin; three grandchildren, Brandy M. (Adam) Haynes, Jennifer M. Rettke, and Dustin M. R. Wrhel, all of Pekin; six great-grandchildren; and Lowell A. Puckett, with who she made her home with.
Her parents and twin sister (Jane E. Jamerson) preceded her in death.
Mrs. Crawford worked for Vogel's on South 2nd Street in Pekin for 17 ½ years, retiring from the produce department. She later worked as the manager of the Clark Gas Station at South 4th and Derby Streets in Pekin for more than 10 years.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2004 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before services. Deacon Charles D. Murray will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
