Mr. Timmerman was born in Damme, West Flanders in Belgium and came to this county in 1909. He married Alice Marie (De Volder) Tanghe in 1951 in Moline. For 32 years he was employed at John Deere Plow & Planter Works, retiring in 1948. He also played in the Notes Band for 30 years. Surviving his death is the widow: a stepdaughter Mrs. Paul Lesage of Moline; 12 step-grandchildren, 20 step great-grandchildren, and a sister Mrs. Victor Lybaert of Belgium.
