Al and Irene both graduated from Stephenson High School. They were married June 25, 1955 at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Stephenson.
Although Al was known as a builder and cabinet maker and Irene as a great cook and baker, they will be most remembered as owners and operators of Al's Aberdeen Bar in Menominee, MI for over 10 years where they made many lifelong friends.
During their retirement years, they were fortunate to spend 17 winters as snow birds in Arizona. Al and Irene were married 65 years and it is only fitting they moved on to their next life together.
Survivors include their children: Cindy (Keith) Kovar, Gary (Barbara) Chaltry and Connie (Larry) Woodke.
They are further survived by their grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Al and Irene were preceded in death by their daughter in law: Tina; parents; siblings and their spouses.
No services will be held at this time.
