Lester Alton Kreh, 85, of Fostoria, passed away at 9:01 am Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Bowling Green.

He was born December 23, 1935, in Clyde to the late Clarence and Iva Ruth (Luman) Kreh. He married Sandra Kay McLaughlin September 22, 1962 at Our Lady of Consolation, Carey and she passed away November 8, 2020.

Surviving is five children, Debra Ruth (Don) Champagne, Smithfield, NC, David A. (Lisa) Kreh, Fostoria, Steven A. (Kim) Kreh, Douglasville, GA, Bruce A. (Heather) Kreh, Fostoria and Lisa F. (Stewart) Emahiser, Fostoria; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, William, Clarence E., Gerald and Russel Kreh; and sister, Mary McCray.

Lester retired in 1993 as a foreman from Morgan Crucible (Union Carbide) after 28 years of service. He was a longtime member of the Kansas Volunteer Fire Department and taught state hazardous materials and fire training. He served in the United States Army and was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church.

Visitation is 6-8 pm Friday, June 4, 2021, at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, OH 44830 where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 pm.

The funeral Service is at 11 am Saturday at Hoening & Son Funeral Home with Fr. Gary Walters presiding. Burial will follow in St. Wendelin Cemetery.
