Illness Takes Ex-Custodian

Rites Slated Tuesday For Lee Allison, 66

Lee Y. Allison, 66, former custodian at the Grandview School near Chester, died Saturday at 1:15 p.m. at his home in Lawrenceville following a long illness. Mr. Allison was born in Wellsville, a son of Ellsworth and Katherine Yant Allison. He had resided in Hancock County 60 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church and the Odd Fellows and Knights of Pythias lodges of Chester. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Linda Collins Allison; a daughter, Mrs. Maxine Conkle of Chester; a son, Richard L. Allison of Newell, three brothers, Donald Allison of Chester, Kenneth Allison of Pughtown and D. H. Allison of Beaver Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Thompson and Mrs. Lois Burke, both of Cleveland; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Rites will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Dawson Funeral Home by the Rev. A. F. Hanes, pastor of the First Christian Church of Chester. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery at Pughtown. Friends may call tonight at the funeral home.
