Charles Robert Holubar of McKinney, Texas passed away December 1, 2020 at the age of 73. He was born on February 18, 1947 to Emil Lee Holubar and Geraldine (Jaresh) Holubar in Dallas, Texas. Charles grew up in Ennis, Texas where he was a 1965 graduate of St. John’s Catholic High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree from University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. He married Louise McKissick on February 2, 1985 in McKinney. Charles retired as President of Texas State Bank in McKinney after 25 years. He was a member of First Christian Church in McKinney.
Charles is survived by his wife, Louise Holubar of McKinney, Texas; sons, Brandon Holubar and wife, Shannon of McAllen, Texas, Blaine Holubar of Ennis, Texas, Garret Holubar of McKinney, Texas, Justin Dickerson and wife, Abby of McKinney, Texas, and Christopher Dickerson and wife, Dondra of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Ashlyn Holubar, Hadley Holubar, Ava Holubar, Sutton Holubar, Emma Dickerson, Avery Dickerson, Harper Dickerson, and Hayden Dickerson; and a host other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Geraldine Holubar and brother, Gene Holubar.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2020 at First Christian Church-McKinney, 1800 West Hunt Street, McKinney, Texas 75069. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
A “come and go” visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
