Clemencia Francis Botello Ruckman, 84, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend was called home to be with our Lord on Saturday September 29, 2007. Waiting to welcome her at the gates of Heaven is her beloved husband Harry Eugene, her parents Manuel and Eloise Botello, three brothers David, Mike and Sam Botello, and son in law Miguel Chavarria. She is survived by her sisters Ophelia Deville of Marksville, LA, Mary Sack of Somerset, CA, and her brother Raymond Botello of Ruther Glen, VA, and several nieces and nephews. Clemencia is also survived by her three children Harry Jr., and wife Barbara, Mary Diane Chavarria, and David Joseph all of El Paso. She had four grandchildren, Cindy Anne Rosales and husband Robert of Wahiawa, HI, Kristin Yvette Chavarria of Albuquerque, NM, James (Jimmy) Eugene Ruckman, and Meagan Michelle Chavarria of El Paso. A 1941 graduate of Austin High and always a proud Panther, Clemencia started her career later in life, after raising her three children, by attending Texas Western College where she earned her Bachelors, and then went on to earn her Masters in 1973 from UTEP. She taught special education, kindergarten and first grade in the San Elizario, Canutillo, and Ysleta districts. Her greatest achievement in life, however, was loving, caring for, and helping her family in any way she could. Clemencia was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 8919,Ladies of Charity, charter member of Our Lady of Assumption Altar Society, and lifetime member of the American Ex-POW's. The family would like to thank Dr. Muneer Assi, El Paso Community Home Health, in particular Manny Vaquero, and Odyssey Hospice nurse Aurora. And a very special thank you to Clemencia' care giver, Soledad. Viewing will be held at Martin Funeral Home Central, on Wed., Oct. 3, 2007, from 5-9 p.m., with a Rosary at 7. Funeral Mass will be on Thurs., Oct. 4, 2007 (our mom's 85th birthday), 1 p.m. at St. Patrick's Cathedral, with interment at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 2:30. Pallbearers are David Ruckman, Jimmy Ruckman, Mike Botello, Randy Rosales, Jon Glasser, Tony Buonvino, and Jonah McLeod.
