Edward "Jay" Booher, age 87, of Spencer passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington. He was born on August 21, 1933 in Burkesville, Kentucky to Homer and Myrtle (Johnson) Booher.
Edward married the love of his life, Edith Carol Powell on July 26, 1957. He retired from B.G. Hoadley Stone after 35 years. Edward attended the Dugger Faith Community Church and he enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, and watching baseball especially the Chicago Cubs.
Edward is survived by his wife, Edith Carol Booher; two sons, Rodney Booher (Sherry) and Kevin Booher (Ginger); five grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Bailey, Alexi, and Delaney Booher; two great grandchildren, Olivia and Gabriel Booher; and his beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Melvin, Eugene, Clifford and Russell Booher,and two sisters, Lora Anderson and Mae Randall.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home with Pastor Sean Farris officiating. Interment will follow at Chambersville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
