Annie Julia Duczer Chaucer passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2007. She was 85 years old. Annie was born in Springfield and resided in Albany, in the Hungarian Settlement, for most of her life. Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Mike Duczer and Mary Duczer,William Steve "West" Chaucer (her husband of 47 years) and her son, Donald Robert Chaucer. Annie will be sadly missed by William J. "Bill" Chaucer, Jr. (Cheryl) and John Taft Chaucer (Tish) and Terri Demarco Chaucer. Annie will be missed by grandchildren - Cindy Chaucer Spears (Clint), Amanda Chaucer Harris (Joe), William Bradley Chaucer, III, John Adam Chaucer(Gena), Donald Robert Chaucer, Jr., Catherine Chaucer, nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as friends. Visitation will be held at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Albany, Louisiana, on Friday, October 5, 2007 - 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Internment will follow immediately at St. Margaret Cemetery in Albany.
