Edna M. Antill, 93, of Front Street, Marietta, died at 10:00 a.m. Friday (Feb. 23, 2001) at Aultman Hospital in Canton. She had been residing with her grandson and his wife, Michael and Trish Haught, in Bolivar recently.
She was born March 10, 1907 in Washington County to Harry and Annie Ward Davis. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts, crocheting and her family. She was a member of Lower Paw Paw Church of Christ and was a Gold Star mother. Their son, Wayne Antill, was a casualty of World War II.
She is survived by three sons; one daughter; 22 grandchildren; a number of great and great-great grandchildren; brother, Oscar Davis; and a number of nieces and nephews.
On Dec. 5, 1924, she married Clarence R. Antill. He died April 28. 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sons and one daughter, Larry, Wayne and Delbert and Evelyn who died in infancy; one brother, Clarence Davis; five sisters, Mildred King, Elizabeth Dyer, Ethel Longfellow, Genevieve [Jenive] and Laura Dennis; one great grandchild; and one great-great grandchild.
Services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Lower Paw Paw Church of Christ. Burial is in Salem Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 p.m. Saturday until noon Monday at McClure-Schafer Funeral Home in Marietta and one hour prior to the service at the church.
